Seattle: A Plane and a Duck Tour

In recapping our adventures in Seattle, I’ve posted about Tuesday and WednesdayThursday, Friday (here and here) and Saturday (here and here).

I mentioned that after we left Hurricane Ridge, we went to see friends in Port Orchard, WA. We had such a fun time with them! On Sunday morning we got up an went out to breakfast at the local airport. When we finished there, they took us to a hangar to show us their new plane!

Matt hopped in the plane with their daughter Evie who calls it “her” plane – isn’t she the cutest?

Matt and I got a chance to sit in the cockpit together. It was really incredible!

After we left the hangar, we packed up our rental car, hugged our friends goodbye, and headed back towards Seattle. We got back to Seattle early in the afternoon; we returned our rental car and checked into our hotel for the night before we ventured out to do some more sightseeing. We decided to do a “Ride the Duck” tour – a land and water tour that takes you through downtown Seattle and then into Lake Union for a unique view of the city!

After the Ride the Duck tour, we went to Chihuly Garden and Glass. It was incredible and it gets a post of its own – but that will have to wait till tomorrow!
