Whimsey Box!

Hey y’all!

As promised over a week ago, I’m going to share about my WhimseyBox! 🙂 For Christmas my awesome sister-in-law Whitney gave me a 3 month membership to this monthly DIY craft subscription service; I had never heard of WhimseyBox before, but my eyes widened when she told me that I would be receiving the materials and instructions to do 3 crafts! What a great idea! I may or may not have squealed with glee…

January is busy at work so I redeemed my gift in February and my first box came a few weeks ago while I was in bed with the stomach bug. As soon as I was back on my feet, I opened the box and was delighted by the contents and the crafts that I was able to make!

When I opened the fun blue mailing box, I found a shiny white box (which they remind you is perfect for reuse) –

The white box contained all of the materials for the craft, beautifully packaged with care and topped off with a pink ribbon!

I pulled out the few papers on top and surveyed the materials for the project.

The box also included an ingredients list with pictures so that I could make sure that I had everything I needed.

I also appreciated that the reverse side contained more specifics and the quantities so that I would be able to do the project again and again it if I wanted.

The beautiful card on top contained the instructions for the craft and I found out that this was the “soft hands set” so I was going to be making honey lavender hand cream and hand scrub! Hooray!

I don’t want to go into all of the specifics of the craft because I don’t think it’s fair to WhimseyBox (I know that you can read most of the directions in the picture above, but if you try this at home you’ll be missing the rest of the directions on the back so don’t do that 🙂 ), but let me just say that I really enjoyed it! The steps were easy to follow – especially with the pictures. The insert indicated that there are more detailed instructions and even instructional videos on their website but I found the instruction card so clear and helpful that I didn’t need it. Within 30 minutes or so, I had both my scrub and my cream done!

My hand cream and scrub smell delicious and they were a fun treat to make. They smell so good that I’m eager to make some more scrubs with the leftover lavender oil that I have!

What do y’all think? Have you ever tried WhimseyBox? Are you interested in giving it a whirl?
