High Five for Friday {1/31/14}

Happy Friday!

I hope y’all have had a great week! Here are a few highlights from ours –

ONE. Matt’s birthday was last Friday and we celebrated all weekend! On Friday I took Matt out to dinner and he got to open presents (including the shirt and sweater that he’s wearing in the picture below). On Saturday we had birthday dinner at Matt’s parents house where we feasted on steaks, roasted broccoli, mint chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate cake – YUMMY!! Then to finish it off, some friends came over on Sunday afternoon to play games. 🙂

TWO. I made our favorite muffins (Paleo Morning Glory Muffins from here) not once but twice this week! Yummy!

(shredded carrots and apples, coconut, and raisins on top of almond flour and cinnamon)

THREE. We got snow on Tuesday night and I got to work from home on Wednesday and Thursday!

Snow days!

FOUR. My sweet friend and “big sister” Ashley went headed back to Uganda on Wednesday afternoon. I miss her already but I’m so thankful for her influence on my life. I’m praying that this stint will be even better than the last! I love you, Ashley!

FIVE. With work calming down and finally a weekend at home, I got to make some easy fabric flowers on Sunday!

Do ya’ll have fun plans for the weekend? I hope it’s a great one!
